Data Deletion Policy

1. Your Right to Request Deletion

ApnaJhola allows users to request deletion of their account and the personal data associated with it. You may submit a deletion request at any time.

2. How to Delete Your Account

You can request account deletion directly through the app:

  1. Open the ApnaJhola app
  2. Go to Profile > Settings
  3. Select “Delete Account”
  4. Verify your identity using OTP sent to your registered mobile number
  5. Confirm the deletion request

You may also contact us if you are unable to access the app.

3. Data Removed After Deletion

Once deletion is confirmed, we remove personal data such as:

  • Name, mobile number, and email (if provided)
  • Profile information and preferences
  • Saved addresses
  • Wishlist, cart items, and notification settings
  • App usage data linked to your account

4. Data We May Retain

Certain information may be retained for operational or legal reasons, including:

  • Order and transaction records where retention is required by applicable laws
  • Payment details stored by third-party payment providers
  • Support or dispute-related communication records
  • Aggregated or anonymized data that cannot identify you

5. Deletion Timeline

  • Deletion request processing begins immediately
  • Personal data removal is generally completed within 30 days
  • Backups may take up to 90 days to reflect deletion
  • Legally required data is retained as per applicable regulations

6. Reactivation Window

If you log in within 30 days of requesting deletion, your account may be restored and the deletion process cancelled. After 30 days, restoration is no longer possible.

7. Effects of Permanent Deletion

After your data is permanently deleted:

  • Your account cannot be recovered
  • You will no longer have access to past orders within the app
  • Pending orders may be cancelled if applicable
  • Reward balances, offers, and coupons will no longer be available
  • You will need to register again to use the service

8. Alternative to Deletion

If you prefer not to delete your data, you may stop using the app at any time. You may also disable notifications through device settings if desired.

9. Third-Party Data

Some data is handled by third-party partners such as payment services or delivery providers. Requests related to their systems may need to be directed to them. We will help by providing relevant information when possible.
